Toxnet is a toxicology database that is of great assistance in cases of exposure or poisoning.

The database was created in 1985 and is managed by the Toxicology and Environmental Health Information Program.  It is the largest collection of toxicology databases in the world. Best of all it is on-line and there is no charge for viewing the information.

The database can be accessed 24/7 at https://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/. The most popular search is for Hazardous Substances Data Bank (HSDB).  Other common areas of searches are Household Products, Toxline, Chemidplus and LacMed.
