Independent Medical Exam Observer Nurse
An Independent or Defense Medical Examination Nurse Observer is a Registered Nurse that attends a patient’s medical exam that is performed by an expert physician, usually on the opposing side. The nurse observer provides a detailed written report to recount the examination and sometimes an audio recording; the nurse also provides testimony if there are any inconsistencies in the medical examiner’s report.
A nurse observer requires the date and time of the appointment, the name of the client, the name of the doctor, and the address where the examination will occur. Nurse observers charge either an hourly rate or a flat rate for the exam, plus the cost of travel time and expenses such as parking.
Expert Witness Nurses can provide a nurse observer in any state. Contact us today to have confidence in your client’s medical exam.
